About Doctors’ Offices
Two weeks ago, called my doctor’s office to reschedule my appointment for this week, and informed them that I’d lost my insurance because i went part time. I then proceeded to ask how much the FOLLOW-UP appointment was, and when they told me, i almost pissed my pants. I told them that wasn’t going to happen, then, and she proceeds to tell me that if I go through BJC financial aid, they can take $21 off of the ginormous amount…which i warned them I probably still wouldn’t be able to do, so I’d call back if i had to cancel. Which i just did. For which i got “well didn’t you try BJC financial?” Lady. You told me how much it would be even WITH that “coupon” as you called it. If it’s over $20, it’s not happening, that’s why I’m cancelling. Otherwise i wouldn’t have told you in the first five seconds of the phonecall that i have to cancel because my insurance hasn’t kicked in and i can’t afford it otherwise. What isn’t clear about “you charge too damn much”???
Okay, if you haven’t seen the movie Red, you need to. Everyone. Especially Allison, who I know will LOVE it.
